cafe Roma

Was a cold and windy Saturday night. Ben and I were bored and hungry. We took the train to get some fast food actually, in Kings Cross, and ended up finding Cafe Roma by accident. What a delightful accident. The place smells and resembles to those restaurants you find in Rome itself. and the food was amazing. We had a mixed salad and a porcinni funghi pizza. (you can see more details in their website but I must advert the prizes in website are not updated) The food was brilliant and light. Pizza with a very nice dough that doesnt feel heavy in your stomach. The dessert was also brilliant. We had Pear and Apple crumble pie and Tiramissu. I dont personally like tiramissu but apparently was very good! :) So its definitely worth it a visit! Hope you enjoy

Bondi Cafe - Nice salad Idea

I went to Cafe Bondi, in rose bay,  for dinner with my husband the other night  and we had amazing salads. I thought the salad ingredients were amazing combinations, although I would change the ingredients a little bit (Isn't that obvious?) I had Beach Root Salad: Roasted Beetroot, Fetta, Green Apple, Walnuts, Rocket, Cos lettuce, lentils & Café Bondi® Seeded Mustard dressing. I would take out the Lentils, and I would put maybe honey...or cranberries, or macadamias. You tell me how you tweak it. and Ben had CHICKEN SALAD Grilled Chicken Tenderloins, Cos lettuce, Potato Chips (they are cut very very thin), Fresh Tomato, Avocado, Grilled Eggplant, Aioli & Café Bondi® Vinaigrette dressing and for Desert, Ben & Jerrys icecream take away.

Grill'd healthy burgers

Are you looking to grab a bite out (Or take away) tonight? Try Grill'd healthy burgers. They have already 4 stores in Sydney (plus one in Newcastle) and even more in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. The first time we went, was a double date and we drove to Crows nest but then we found out there is one walking distance from our house, just there in Victoria St, and soon it became one of our favorites. The burgers are very good. I only had the vegetarian ones. They have different options even for the veg ones and they are very yum. Prices are quite reasonable and the chips, PLEASE ORDER THE CHIPS! :) I should post a recipe for this chips soon, cause I actually know how to make them but we shouldn't make chips at home right? we should save it for special occasions :-) In their words: At Grill'd we promise: to deliver you a great tasting meal made from only the highest quality ingredients That our ingredients are delivered daily to maximize freshness that our patti...

Adriano Zumbo Cafe and its Macarons

We went, well, we tried to go, to the new Adriano Zumbo café. Apparently we were a little bit advanced on time, given the sitting down cafe will only be open in a month or so, but the patisserie was open and steaming. There was a huge queue but I must say whatever you buy there is worth it. We bought some Macarons with different flavors, but nothing too risky (There were things like Mandarine with Hummus, but didn't appeal to me). Things like Orange with chocolate, Burnt Caramel, Strawberry. OMG, they are worth the 2 dollars / each! www.adrianozumbo.com Definitely worth it every single calorie. Love,  Vic

Isabella's Italian & Seafood Restaurant

Last night, we went there for dinner with another couple. It wasn't my first time at Isabellas, but was definitely the first time I get there and is not packed. I wonder why... The place is a fair italian place, although I don't think anyone there is Italian. We had bruschetas for Entrée and I've never had bruscheta with melted cheese on the top. I found it a little bit funny. The for of us had pasta and I must say mine was pretty good. That's not the recipe but the idea / ingredients is worth it.
